What’s New At Enhance
The “it” look in hardwood floors is wide plank with a low gloss finish in white oak and French oaks. The majority of your choices are in the engineered construction. Some clients really want a ¾” solid floor, usually for height reasons, and there has been very little to choose from.

Until now! We have just received he Shenandoah Collection from Palmetto Road, a ¾” thick by 5” wide French oak hardwood available in 6 beautiful colors: Forest Path, Cascade, Shadow, Preserve, Winter Light, and Skyline. The planks are hand stained and have nice character and variation, without being scraped or distressed. Come see this gorgeous collection today!

Important Safety Tip
This holiday season, everyone will be searching for the perfect gift at the perfect price, and many will turn to e-commerce sites like Craigslist, Offer-Up and Facebook Market Place to purchase those gifts. Cobb County wants to ensure these purchases are done in a safe manner at a safe location. Cobb Police Department staff has implemented "E-Commerce Zones" at all five precincts and headquarters to provide residents with safe places to conduct trades and sales. The zones are marked with blue signs in well-lit places that are monitored by video surveillance.

Locations of E-Commerce Safe Zones at Police Precincts and Headquarters:
  • Precinct 1: 2380 N. Cobb Parkway Kennesaw, GA 30152
  • Precinct 2: 4700 Austell Rd Austell, GA 30106
  • Precinct 3: 1901 Cumberland Parkway Atlanta, GA 30339
  • Precinct 4: 4400 Lower Roswell Rd Marietta, GA 30067
  • Precinct 5: 4640 Dallas Highway Powder Springs, GA 30127
  • Headquarters: 140 North Marietta Parkway Marietta, GA 30060

Don't live in Cobb County? Chances are your local police department is doing the same thing. Give them a call before you arrange to meet a stranger for a transaction.
More Holiday Survival Tips
This is a crazy busy time of year. Here are a few of our favorite ideas and tips to help you stay calm and enjoy the holidays:
~~Keep a couple of packages of frozen cookie dough on hand to pop in the oven when you have unexpected guests.
~~Yummmm, we all love the smells of the holidays. Keep a simmer pot going with cloves, nutmeg, and other spices to give your home a fragrant holiday smell.

~~Set aside a single place to collect receipts throughout the season for returning or exchanging items. Update your budget list as you make purchases so you do not overspend.
~~Once school is out, the kids will be bored. Create an inexpensive family tradition---purchase a ready-made wreath of greens and then gather items to decorate it. Use pine cones, ribbons, crystals, feathers, beaded garland or homemade paper snowflakes.
~~Use lots of candles. Nothing makes a room feel warmer and more inviting than candlelight. Plus if unexpected company arrives, it is not as easy to see the dust in a dimly lit room!
~~Have pets? Give your pet his own quiet space to retreat to-complete with fresh water and a place to snuggle. Shy pups and cats might want to hide out under a piece of furniture, in their crate or in a separate room away from the hubbub.
~~Looking to stuff your pet's stockings? Choose gifts that are safe. Dogs have been known to tear their toys apart and swallow the pieces. Stick with chew toys that are basically indestructible, Kongs that can be stuffed with healthy foods or chew treats that are designed to be safely digestible.
Long, stringy things are a feline's dream, but the most risky toys for cats involve ribbon, yarn and loose little parts that can get stuck in the intestines, often necessitating surgery. Surprise kitty with a new ball that's too big to swallow, a stuffed catnip toy or an interactive cat dancer -- and tons of play sessions together.
~~Feeling cozy is as mental as it is physical. Add a touch of nostalgia to create coziness. 'Tis the season for sentimentality. Put out some Santa pieces or other family "heirlooms" on a buffet, and keep treats, sweets and cookies out so that the casual nibbler can enjoy themselves. Make a pot of hot cocoa to welcome your family into the kitchen.
Did you want new floors before you began holiday entertaining, but have run out of time? Here's a quick and easy update -- a new rug! Cover that dirty carpet or scratched up wood floor with a large area rug. Decorating is easy and affordable with a new rug!
Can't find the size or color you need? Ask about custom rugs created to your specifications.

We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!
