2023 Best Seller Recap

2023 Best Seller Recap

When you are making a big purchase, it’s nice to know you are choosing a “tried and true” item. Especially when it’s not easy to replace if it just doesn't work for your vision (like flooring!)

Best sellers are often a great starting place for clients just beginning to shop. Here’s are some of our most popular items from 2023:

Hardwood flooring

Hardwoods

#1 Bruce Springdale Plank – this is a traditional oak look, a favorite of builders in new homes, available in 3" and 5" widths

#2 Palmetto Road Chalmers – French Oak featuring a dual staining process, 7 ½” wide, with subtle distressing

#3 Palmetto Road Monet – the “little sister” to Chalmers, more budget friendly but just as beautiful!

Countertops

Countertops

#1 Giallo Ornamental Granite – nice warm tones, always a popular choice

#2 LX Quartz Everest – shades of white, grey, and black, with nice movement

#3 Daltile One Quartz White Ice – subtle grey tones that won’t compete with your backsplash

Design tips

Design Tip

Knowing what’s popular is helpful, but you still need to make sure it works for YOUR home. And the best way to do that is to see samples in your home and live with them for a few days, in different lighting conditions. Make sure you have a large enough sample size to be helpful -- it is very difficult to get an accurate idea of what a color will look like based on a 2 inch piece. Whenever possible, you want to borrow a larger piece of the carpet, wood, tile, etc. to really see how the color works in your home.

How Much Does It Cost?

Laminate floors are a great alternative to LVP and hardwood. Laminate is more scratch and water resistant than real hardwood floors, and is thicker (think sturdier) than LVP. And many clients prefer the realism of laminate to most LVPs. Mohawk RevWood is the top brand in laminates, known for quality, styling, and price. We recently installed 541 sq ft of the Rustic Legacy color Cedar Chestnut in a large kitchen area. The price was a little over $4800, all inclusive. This is a great looking floor that our client will enjoy for years.
